After the ceremony at Cameo Island everyone was transported to the other side of Zakynthos for the evening festivities.
Kipseli is quiet and tucked away, far from tourists, and is on a secluded beach that only a few locals know about. The venue was in lush verdant surroundings which smelt of wildflowers and sea spray.
The food was typically Greek- amazing! I took the opportunity to eat some dinner and chat to the venue staff during dinner time. I learnt early on in my career that people DO NOT like having their photo taken whilst eating!
As a warm-up to the toasts Scott arranged for everyone to be given a glass of Ouzo and he took the opportunity to thank everyone involved. After that the speeches and tears flowed and day transformed into evening.
The temperature was perfect at this point and the sun was just starting to set. I asked the venue when the cake was coming out and I was told I had 20 minutes. So I grabbed Claire and Scott and took them to the beach for some sunset photographs as a newly married couple.
You only have a small window to grab these shots and you have be vigilant so as not to interfere with the day’s schedule.
Cake and Ouzo followed along wit the inevitable dancing! The drink was flowing at this point so it didn’t take long for the evening to turn into a full on party.
Both Claire and Scott kept their cool in the scorching heat and had a beautiful, lively, and unforgettable Wedding. I hope they will treasure their photos for years to come.
